Major Projects: The mission of Wyoming Audubon is to be a strong, unified voice for the ethic of conservation in Wyoming, focusing on birds, other wildlife, and their habitats, for the benefit of present and future generations.
Audubon Center at Garden Creek in Casper is the first of several centers to be established around the state. A cooperative project at Pathfinder National Wildlife Refuge with the US FWS, BLM, Bureau of Reclamation, Wyoming Game and Fish, Wyoming Department of Transportation, Ducks Unlimited, local ranchers, Murie Audubon and Colorado Bird Observatory has received funding for a roadside pullout with interpretive sign about refuge wildlife, an educational brochure, and developing a management plan. This project serves as a model for developing statewide Important Bird Areas (IBA's).
