Message from the Director

  Indy's Web Page

The University of Wyoming's (UW) Environment and Natural Resources (ENR) program is one of the premier programs in the country. This program is supported by a state that values its university with generous investment, and a faculty with a depth of natural resources expertise, enthusiasm for interdisciplinary research and education, and the will to bring knowledge to balanced solutions. Wyoming and the western U.S. have a richness of natural resources that is unparalleled in the United States, and a complexity of challenges regarding the wise use of those resources. This complexity provides an inspiring opportunity for our faculty, students, and staff to work with partners to learn about issues, to bring knowledge to bear on those issues, and to facilitate collaborative processes in decision making.

ENR has a variety of opportunitites for our students through the Haub School, preparing them for careers in natural resources, and for citizens through Ruckelshaus Institute initiatives, providing important information and balanced processes to natural resource issues.

Our students get into the field in Wyoming and work on internation issues. They also have hands-on experiences that shape their future as broad thinkers in natural resource science and management. We are also home to the Wyoming Conservation Corps, our growing program of student employees who serve as hard working ambassadors around the state.

We encourage you to explore our Web site to learn more about the ENR and all we do!
