UW Energy Resources Council Sets Sept. 21 Meeting |

Sept. 14, 2007 -- Members of the University of Wyoming Energy Resources Council will meet Friday, Sept. 21, in Room 207 of the Bureau of Mines Building at the University of Wyoming.
The council, comprised of representatives from industry, state government and academia, was established by the 2006 Wyoming State Legislature. It is charged with providing direction to UW's School of Energy Resources (SER) on priorities for research and outreach.
The meeting begins at 9 a.m. and includes updates on professorship searches, NCAR (National Center for Atmospheric Research) supercomputer, academic activities and matching grant funds, plus a discussion of a draft annual report. The council will meet with members of the Clean Coal Task Force from 1-3 p.m.
The SER provides undergraduate and graduate education, conducts research on existing and emerging energy resources and disseminates scientific, engineering and economic information to support Wyoming's near- and long-term energy future.
