Enhanced Oil Recovery Commission to Meet Oct. 13 in Casper |

Sept. 30, 2008 -- The state's Enhanced Oil Recovery Commission will meet at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 13, at the Petroleum Club, 1301 Wilkins Circle in Casper. The meeting is open to the public.
Among the agenda items are a presentation by Mark Northam, director of the University of Wyoming School of Energy Resources, and an update on the building of a chemical flooding laboratory, by Vladimir Alvarado, assistant professor in the UW Department of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering. The Enhanced Oil Recovery Commission is funded by the state of Wyoming to support the EORI (Enhanced Oil Recovery Institute) at the University of Wyoming. In addition to its aggressive research agenda, EORI engages in cooperative and contractual agreements with independent producers, and offers short courses, workshops and technical outreach meetings to assist in the transfer of current EOR technologies to Wyoming producers.
