Employment OpportunitiesCrew LeaderThe Crew Leader is a 900-hour Americorps postion, running from mid-December to mid-August. Crew Leaders begin their term of service by completing Wilderness First Responder training, free of charge. During the spring academic semester Crew Leaders attend a WCC leadership and service class once a week, and engage in training and volunteer events one weekend a month. Once the summer work season begins, Crew Leaders will apply their training by leading work crews through six, ten-day conservation projects, completed in conjunction with state and federal land management agencies. Crew Leaders receive a monthly living stipend, upper-division credits from the University of Wyoming's Environment and Natural Resources Program, as well as an Americorps education award upon successful completion of the WCC program. Crew MemberThe Crew Member is a 450-hour Americorps position, serving from mid-May to mid-August. Crew Members work in a team of eight to complete conservation projects focusing on Wyoming's public lands.
