Chloealtis abdominalis (Thomas) [=Neopodismopsis a. (Thomas)]

Size: 18-28 mm

General distribution: Alaska to Quebec, Canada, through Rocky Mountains; S. to New Mexico.

Distribution in New Mexico: Otero, San Miguel.

Habitat: Mountain grassland.

Host: Probably forbs.

Adults Present: July-September.

Notes: Males stridulate conspicuously, but are difficult to catch. Brownish, rather chunky. Not economically important.
