Size: 15-30 mm.

General distribution: Colorado, New Mexico, W. Texas, and northern Mexico.

Distribution in New Mexico: Bernalillo, Chaves, Dona Ana, Hidalgo, Luna, Otero, San Juan, Socorro, Valencia.

Habitat: Grassland, mostly sand hills.

Host: Unknown.

Adults Present: July-September.

Notes: Similar to P. pallida, but with tegmina longer than abdomen. Not economically important.
