December Liana successfully passed her prelims.
June Emily successfully defended her M.S. thesis in Soil Science "The critical role of soil microbiota to sustainable rangelands: Quantifying short-term microbial and vegetation responses to intensive grazing".
May Stephanie successfully defended her M.S. thesis in Soil Science"Linking soil ecology with the restoration of ponderosa pine forests following a high-severity wildfire in the Laramie Mountains of Wyoming".

2018

October Paul Ayayee joined the lab as a postdoctoral researcher.
May Zoe successfully defended his M.S. thesis in Soil Science "Influence of Loess and Cryopedogenesis in High-Alpine Soils on Microbial Activity and Function in the Snowy Range Mountains, Wyoming".
January Gordon successfully defended his M.S. thesis in Plant Sciences "Structural and functional dynamics of soil microbes following spruce beetle infestation".
