Kristina Hufford, Rangeland Ecology and Watershed Management

Research interests: Spatial and temporal patterns of selection in plant populations using techniques in field ecology, molecular genetics and bioinformatics, adaptation of plant populations to local environments, and the implications of local adaptation for the restoration of native plant communities.

Melanie Murphy, Rangeland Ecology and Watershed Management

Research interests: Ecosystem biodiversity, ecological and anthropogenic processes and how they constrain species distributions, functional connectivity and how it limits population persistence, landscape change and impact of alternative future landscape conditions on ecosystem sustainability.

Derek Scasta, Rangeland Ecology and Watershed Management

Research interests: Interactions and impacts of herbivores on rangeland ecosystems and relationships of ecological condition and forage production for domestic livestock, wildlife habitat attributes, insects and invasive plant species

Photo of Thijs Kelleners, Soil Physicist

    Thijs Kelleners, Soil Science

Research interests: Water flow, heat transport, and solute transport in the soil, linkages with the atmosphere, the surrounding terrain, and the deeper sub-surface (e.g. the groundwater), modeling the soil-water-plant-atmosphere system, both at the field scale and at the catchment scale.

Photo of Tim Collier, Insect Pest Management

    Tim Collier, Entomology

Research interests: Plant nutrients and host selection in plant-feeding insects, including weed biological control agents, integrating biological control and herbicides for suppression of Dalmatian toadflax and Canada thistle, nutritional ecology of parasitoid wasps.

Photo of Scott Shaw, Insect Classification

    Scott Shaw, Entomology

Research interests: Biodiversity and classification of insects, especially with respect to parasitoid wasps and aquatic insects
