Biography

Alyssa Canepa was born and raised in Casper, Wyoming and graduated with her Masters in English Literature from the University of Wyoming in 2020. She is just beginning the exciting journey as an Assistant Lecturer through the LeaRN department. Having previously instructed introductory composition, literature and composition, and technical writing, she now teaches Bridge first year seminars and freshman composition. Alyssa is impassioned about working to find the most innovative and creative ways for people to become critical thinkers and learners. Anytime she can incorporate popular culture into her criticism and the classroom, she is thrilled.

There are many ways to grow, learn, and live, and Alyssa hopes to share her experience and learn from others to create the best opportunities available for each individual with whom she works. When Alyssa isn’t teaching, she loves to read, listen to music, create, cook, hike, and watch anime!
