Cello Festival

 

Schedule:

9:30 A.M. – Greetings/Registration in Main lobby with coffee and donuts

10:00 A.M. – 11:30 A.M.

Cello Choir Rehearsal- Directed by Dr. Michael Griffith

The UW Cello Festival Cello Choir is open to all participants.  There will be two levels of music, one for intermediate players and one for advanced. Advanced players are encouraged to play all selections. Indicate your level on the registration page. Music will be sent to you for preparation before the festival. 11:30 A.M. – 12:30 P.M. Bow Workshop with Lynn Harrell

       Mr. Harrell will give a lecture about the bow arm.

12:30 P.M. – 1:15 P.M. LUNCH in the Lobby. 

1:15 P.M.3:15 P.M. Cello Masterclass with Lynn Harrell

Lynn Harrell shares his mastery and insights with five lucky/talented cellists as they perform for us in an open masterclass.  If you are interested in playing on this masterclass, please indicate your desire on the registration page.  You will be asked to send in a live video recording for review.

3:15 P.M. – 3:30 P.M.  Q&A with Mr. Harrell
