MANCAMP & Wyoming Women of Song

Friday, 3/2/18:
High School and Junior High students, grades 6-12 for MANCAMP, grades 7-12 for WWoS 12-1pm

Arrive and meet mentors Activities: 1-8pm


Saturday, 3/3/18: High School, Junior High, and Elementary students, GRADES 4-12 8:30 am
Arrive and meet mentors Activities: 9am-2pm

High School, Junior High Students will participate in workshops that focus on:

  • The changing voice
  • Vocal technique and sound production – “The Break”
  • Musicianship skills and musical independence
  • Performance techniques,  stage presence, and movement
  • Both traditional choral and male a cappella music
  • Team building and mentorship activities to foster growth of person and musician

Saturday, 3/3/18

Elementary boys (grades 4-6) – SATURDAY ONLY ($25) 8:30am Arrival

High School, Junior High AND Elementary Students will participate in workshops that focus on:

  • Mentorship activities for elementary aged students
  • Rehearsals and final performance with The UW Singing Statesmen and Happy Jacks (2pm Saturday)

Wyoming Women of Song

Friday, 3/2/18

12-1  - Registration
Friday Activities: 1-8pm

Students in grades 7-12 will participate in workshops that focus on:

  • Healthy vocal technique
  • Growing the young female voice and creating mature sound
  • Choral techniques through rehearsal of repertoire with Bel Canto
  • Musicianship: techniques to strengthen musical skills
  • Team-building activities designed to build character, confidence, and identity and a healthy concept of self

Saturday activities:

Students in grades 7-12 will participate in workshops that focus on:

  • Rehearsal with Bel Canto
  • Combined concert on the UW Concert Hall Stage (2pm Saturday)

Other Details:

ATTIRE: All students are expected to wear smart casual clothing. For the performance on Saturday, all participants will wear their festival shirt with jeans or dark pants. 

MUSIC: Will be distributed at camp and returned to UW after the performance.

WAIVER FORM: Must be filled out prior to a student’s participation in either festival.

PAYMENT: You will be invoiced the fee upon successful registration. Appropriate participation waiver forms will arrive with your invoice.
