Exploring a Teaching Career - FULL
Majors of Interest:
Students interested in teaching – any major is welcome!
Today and in the future, teachers will need to be creative problem solvers! As a member of this FIG, students work with others to explore questions that all teachers and learners deal with: Why is some learning hard for some of us and so easy for others? How can we learn faster and better? Can we help ourselves and to be “smarter”? What basic human needs are expected to be met by schools? What are the professional characteristics and expectations of a “highly qualified” teacher in the 21st Century? Join us, and you’ll explore the answers to these questions – and others! All three classes meet requirements for the College of Education, as well as the University Studies Program. Students in all majors welcome!
