FIG Description:

This FIG will emphasize an appreciation of how research and public collections (museums) impact science, art and culture. The first year seminar will examine how you can think like a naturalist and learn how natural history shapes both our cultural and physiological evolution. Activities include sketching, journaling, visits to museums, and identification of diverse organisms in Wyoming and beyond.

  • ZOO 1101: History of Prehistory
  • POLS 1000: American and Wyoming History
  • ART 2700: Intro to Museology (Museum Studies)

*You will be able to add an additional 2 or 3 courses to your schedule when you meet with an advisor during orientation in June.
