Foundational Studies in Visual Art

Majors of Interest:

Must be an Art major or minor

FIG Description:

The Foundational Studies in Visual Art FIG offers students an immersive opportunity to take three fundamental art courses during the first semester of the freshman year.  These courses investigate composition, observational drawing, and the use of digital technology.  Students benefit from concept reinforcement between classes and exposure to a wide range of media and practices.

  • ART 1110 - Foundation 2D
  • ART 1005 - Drawing I
  • ART 1115 - Digital Media




*You will be able to add an additional 1 or 2 courses to your schedule when you meet with an advisor during orientation in June.
