Exploring a Teaching Career

Majors of Interest:

Students interested in teaching – any major is welcome!

FIG Description:

Today and in the future, teachers will need to be creative problem solvers! As a member of this FIG, students work with others to explore some of the questions that all teachers and learners deal with: Why is learning hard for some of us and so easy for others? How can we learn faster and better? Can we help ourselves to be “smarter”? What basic human needs are expected to be met by schools? What are the professional characteristics of a "highly qualified" teacher in the 21st Century? Join us, and you’ll explore the answers to these questions – and others! All three FIG courses meet requirements for the College of Education, as well as for the University Studies Program. Student in all majors are welcome!

Hall:

McIntyre Hall
