The inaugural membership of the PAC was selected from estate, financial, and tax-planning leaders in the state of Wyoming and the region.

Preliminary Mission and Goals of the Professional Advisory Council

• Advance the importance of philanthropy and the significance of estate planning for the University of Wyoming through an annual, high-level, estate and charitable planning educational seminar.
• Guide the effective communication of the UW Foundation's gift planning messages to the legal, financial, and donor communities.
• Serve as key advisor to the UW Foundation and the Director of Planned Giving on charitable, estate, and tax-planning issues.
• Advance the estate gift planning knowledge of council members through the sharing of insightful examples.
• Collaborate with the UW Foundation to appropriately structure gifts for the donor and the institution to maximize and honor donor intent.
