Roy and Fay Whitney and Family Plaza

Roy and Fay Whitney donated $1 million for the south plaza.  Roy is a past chair of the UW Foundation Board and an emeritus member, is past chair of the Wyoming Business Council, served on the UW College of Health Sciences Development Committee and the College of Business Advisory Board, and was awarded the UW Cornerstone Award.  Dr. Fay Whitney earned numerous awards for excellence in nursing and leadership.  She founded the Whitney Wellness Center in Laramie, and she served on several state committees.  The School of Nursing is named for her. The south plaza is also home to the Wyoming Cowboy statue by Chris Navarro.
