September 7, 2012 — The University of Wyoming today (Friday) announced a historic $10 million gift from philanthropist Marian Rochelle that will support the construction of a state-of-the art Gateway Center that will become the signature entrance facility to the university, connecting students, alumni and friends.

March 21, 2012 — A Vietnam veterans’ memorial at the University of Wyoming will be rededicated at 3 p.m. Friday, March 30. The memorial is located on the east corner of Ninth and Ivinson streets, southwest of Old Main.
March 13, 2012 — The projected downturn in state revenues -- as a result of sinking natural gas prices -- set the tone for the recently completed legislative session. Gov. Matt Mead and lawmakers rejected most funding requests that would have increased ongoing state spending and added to the state’s long-term fiscal commitments. Those commitments included salary increases for executive branch employees, community college personnel and UW faculty and staff.
