Wyoming Students Benefit from Rocky Mountain Power Foundation Grant

The Rocky Mountain Power Foundation awarded $50,000 to the University of Wyoming during the past fiscal year for education and research programs and for scholarships for entering freshmen from Wyoming communities.

Rocky Mountain Power and the Rocky Mountain Power Foundation have gifted a total of $844,320 to UW throughout the years.

“We are pleased to be able to provide scholarships to 11 outstanding freshmen at the University of Wyoming with this donation from our foundation,” said Leslie Blythe, Rocky Mountain Power regional business manager. “Wyoming’s future is in good hands with such stellar young people as these studying at the University of Wyoming.”

The grant and additional funding support other campus programs as well, including College of Engineering Senior Design Symposium, Environment and Natural Resources, UW Art Museum, UW Center for Volunteer Service, and the UW-Casper, among others.

“The University of Wyoming is pleased to acknowledge the generosity and support of the Rocky Mountain Power Foundation on behalf of our students,” says Kathleen Bobbitt, director of Student Financial Aid. “The Foundation’s charitable mission has provided many students across campus additional resources as they strive toward their educational goals at the University of Wyoming. We look forward to working with the Rocky Mountain Power Foundation in the future with the goal of ensuring future students with the same opportunity for success.”
