Corporate Giving

Corporate Giving provides crucial support to all areas of campus. The remarkable support of corporations has made a huge difference to the University of Wyoming. Gifts campus-wide have built buildings, created new programs, and underwritten research that changes the world as we know it.

Corporations Make Long-Term Investments in UW

Some of the biggest impacts across the University of Wyoming campus have come from the support of corporations. Corporations give because they want to be good corporate citizens in their communities. They also seek a return on investment—that is, measurable outcomes that confirm they’ve made smart philanthropic decisions. The UW Foundation strives in every way to honor this contract, and it shows. Student by student, corporation-supported scholarships have built a wealth of human capital.

Timberline Hospitalities, LLC is supporting UW’s new Outdoor Recreation and Tourism Management (ORTM) degree. Their gift provides the Timberline Hospitalities Business and Hospitality Management Scholarship for students seeking the ORTM degree with an emphasis in hospitality. Founded in 1992, the Wyoming-owned company operates hotels throughout the state. Timberline’s mission is “making friends one guest at a time,” and each hotel performs at the top of their franchise rankings. The Casper-based business is owned by Don Walters, Bruce Bummer, and Terry Johnson and supports UW in a variety of ways including personal gifts to the Cowboy Joe Club.

MilliporeSigma is a global life science tools and equipment supplier with a broad and deep portfolio of more than 300,000 products. It serves academia, biopharmaceutical manufacturing, and industrial sectors in an effort to accelerate access to better health for people everywhere. Through its employee and community engagement strategy, MilliporeSigma focuses on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education through global philanthropic investments direct to student programs, teacher preparation and advocacy, and science centers. This includes an ongoing partnership with UW’s TACoS (The Artful Craft of Science) program, a virtual weeklong summer camp for elementary school students and teachers with a dedicated computer science rotation.

Dell Technologies

Dell Technologies is a global organization dedicated to driving human progress through technology to transform how we work and live. They are more than a technology company—they are a people company first, customer-focused to solve problems and achieve the goals of the people and businesses they support. That makes it a natural fit as the inaugural partner of the UW College of Business’s new Center for Professional Selling. This multidisciplinary program focuses on developing long-lasting customer relationships. Through the use of software and technology within the classroom, our students experience how the effective use of customer and market information is critical when engaging today’s customers. The program’s strong curriculum and experiential learning opportunities earned it the distinction of a Top University Sales Program in 2020 for the fourth consecutive year by the Sales Education Foundation.
