Meeting with President Seidel – Chapter presidents are invited to meet with University of Wyoming President Sidel on Tuesday, September 1st. Details have been sent to respective emails. This is a great opportunity for our community to connect with our new university leadership and this meeting is in direct response to his commitment to a series of listening sessions with different constituents on campus. Information shared in this meeting will be distributed later.
ASUW Liaison Position – IFC is accepting applications to fill their ASUW Liaison positions for one more week! If you are interested or know of someone that is, please fill out the attached form(s) and email to FSL@uwyo.edu ASAP. Elections will be held 9/8 via Zoom.
Formal Sorority Recruitment – Recruitment for our four NPC chapters will be held virtually September 10-14th. Direct interested parties to the FSL website to sign up. Questions about recruitment can be sent to cphrec@uwyo.edu. Associate chapter recruitment will begin September 14th.
IFC Recruitment – All recruitment activities will be held online until further approval according to FSL, RSO and University policies. The chapter builder link is up and running on the FSL website! Please use the attached flier to market on chapter platforms.
FSL Bingo – We have one more go for FSL Bingo! Join for the virtual bingo sessions on 9/3 at 7PM to connect with interested students and chapters! We would appreciate posts of the attached flier on chapter social media platforms.
IFC and CPH meetings – Delegate meetings continue this week.
September Advisors & Presidents Meeting – This meeting has been updated due to President Seidel’s schedule. An optional Q&A session will be offered for presidents and advisors, following the meeting with President Seidel beginning around 6:45pm. Emails have been distributed with follow up information.
Phase 1 (now) – All functions (events/activities/meetings) are to be held virtually.
Phase 2 (begins Sept. 7) – Student Org functions should continue to be held virtually. Hybrid (virtual and in-person component) may be possible ONLY if 100% of the in-person attendees are in the Phase 2 bridge testing group.
Phase 3 (begins Sept. 28) – In-person functions resume with maximum capacity up to 50 people (if space permits). Social distancing and masks will be expected. Attendance will need to be tracked via UW Connect attendance tracker for contact tracing purposes. More details and guidelines will be released as we get closer to Phase 3.
Phase 4 (begins Nov. 23) – Move back to virtual functions only.
We are trying to stay on top of the changing times. If you have questions about future activities and planning something during phase 3, please email StudentOrgs@uwyo.edu and we will work with your organization on an individual basis.
No Off-Campus Exceptions – If you are gathering as a chapter, these expectations are applicable to BOTH on-campus and off-campus gatherings because you are gathering as your organization which is affiliated with the University (similar to if you were traveling for your chapter, you would be representing the University of Wyoming in that space at that time). Questions about the phased re-opening can be sent to fsl@uwyo.edu.
Reducing Spread – Masks, physical distancing, and handwashing/hand-sanitizing are the key to reducing the spread of this virus. Practicing these things now will increase the likelihood of in-person events actually taking place (including CPH bid day, philanthropy events, social events, etc). PLEASE do your part to wear your mask in ANY public setting, on or off-campus, wash your hands regularly, and maintain physical distance of 6ft or more between people you are not regularly with.
