Basecamp Attendee Identification DUE TODAY – Basecamp 2020 is coming up. Please identify the new members in your chapter who you would like to represent you at our annual Emerging Leaders Retreat!
Each chapter must identify 4 potential participants (2 primary, 2 alternates), please submit their names by TODAY Monday, October 5th, 2020 at 5pm using this form link: https://forms.gle/eLACassapf8uwZNL7. The FSL office will contact all participants for next steps. Please email fsl@uwyo.edu with questions.
New Member Education – New member education is this week! Each new member has the option of attending either Tuesday, October 6th or Wednesday, October 7th at 6pm via Zoom. We are expecting 80% or more of your new member classes to attend.
New Membership Agreements & MRABA – As your chapters add new members, please remember to have them complete the FSL Membership Agreement on UW Connect under the FSL page Forms (student must be signed in) within 48 hours of accepting a bid. Women who participate in NPC recruitment will be added automatically after bid day. Women who join an NPC chapter through an informal recruitment process must also complete the NPC COB MRABA form on UWConnect. Under the FSL page Forms.
Presidents & Advisors Meeting – The October Presidents and Advisors meeting is taking place via Zoom on Tuesday, October 6th at 6:00pm. Details were sent in an email last week.
Homecoming Week – Homecoming week is October 11th through the 17th (Next Week). The FSL office and councils are happy to partner with United Way to provide some homecoming fun! Get a group of up to 5 friends together and make a team for our homecoming challenge! Download the GooseChase app and register as a team for the United Way Homecoming Challenge. The top 3 FSL affiliated teams will win prizes! This is a great way to support United Way and have some FUN together, especially with the cancellation of Greek Week and the parade this year. We hope to have at least one team per chapter or combinations of chapter members. More details & guidelines to come. Email fsl@uwyo.edu with questions.
Mullen Fire Relief – If you or your chapter are interested in donating to support the fire management efforts you may do so by following the instructions on the attached flier. You can also donate through United Way. Information about the fire can be found using this link: https://arcg.is/1mnyXL.
Member Monday – We want to highlight our amazing members every Monday. Please follow this form: #MemberMonday to fill out some information about yourself in less than five minutes and you could be highlighted on the FSL social media platforms in the future!
FSL Ambassador Fraternity Men Needed – We are looking to add more men to our ambassador team! If you know of anyone who you think would be a great fit, please email fsl@uwyo.edu. We hope to diversify our team with chapters that are not currently represented.
Phase 3 (Sept. 28) – In-person functions resume with maximum capacity up to 50 people (if space permits). Social distancing and masks will be expected. Attendance will need to be tracked via UW Connect attendance tracker for contact tracing purposes. More details and guidelines will be released as we get closer to Phase 3. Any in-person events with 20 people or more anticipated to attend needs to be registered as an event through UWConnect. Event registration is due at least 2 weeks prior to the event occurring.
Phase 4 (begins Nov. 23) – Move back to virtual functions only. We are trying to stay on top of the changing times. If you have questions about future activities and planning something during phase 3, please email StudentOrgs@uwyo.edu and we will work with your organization on an individual basis.
No Off-Campus Exceptions – If you are gathering as a chapter, these expectations are applicable to BOTH on-campus and off-campus gatherings because you are gathering as your organization which is affiliated with the University (similar to if you were traveling for your chapter, you would be representing the University of Wyoming in that space at that time). Questions about the phased re-opening can be sent to fsl@uwyo.edu.
Reducing Spread – Masks, physical distancing, and handwashing/hand-sanitizing are the key to reducing the spread of this virus. Practicing these things now will increase the likelihood of in-person events actually taking place. PLEASE do your part to wear your mask in ANY public setting, on or off-campus, wash your hands regularly, and maintain physical distance of 6ft or more between people you are not regularly with.
