Rick Miller is the vice president for governmental, community, and legal affairs. Rick came to UW in summer 2000 from the Wyoming Legislative Service Office, where he served as director since 1988. Previously, Rick served as state planning coordinator for former Gov. Mike Sullivan and as an officer in the U.S. Air Force Judge Advocate General's Department. Miller oversees the general counsel's office and is responsible to the president for governmental and community relations. In addition to representing UW to state and federal legislative bodies and agencies, Miller supervises operations of the Division of University Public Relations, including the Communication Division and Marketing Division. Miller also supervises the UW office of Diversity and EEO.
Don C. Richards

Don Richards currently serves as the Deputy Director of Government Relations for the University of Wyoming. Previously, Don served as non-partisan staff to the Wyoming Legislature in three different capacities over approximately nine years, including as the Legislative Service Office's first Research Manager. He has also worked in a variety of positions on both the House and Senate side of Congress, most recently as Senator John Barrasso's Energy Policy Advisor. Don earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics and economics from the University of Wyoming and holds a Master of Arts in political management from The George Washington University, where he also served as a Fellow at the Graduate School of Political Management.

Rod Lang has been an attorney with the University of Wyoming since the fall of 1987. He is a Wyoming native and graduated from UW Law School in the spring of 1983. He has been in private practice with Corthell & King and Spence, Moriarity and Schuster. He also worked as a law librarian with the Wyoming Supreme Court. Rod has a Diploma in African Studies, a Masters in Library Science, a Masters in Public Administration and a BA in International Studies. Rod has been involved in all areas of University law.
Susan Weidel

Susan Weidel joined the legal staff of the Univerisy of Wyoming in 1997. She provides legal advice to the University on a variety of issues including employment law, intellectual property, and complex contractual and real estate matters. She also handles all legal issues related to intercollegiate atheltics, student health and fine arts matters.
Prior to joining the University's legal staff, Ms. Weidel practiced law in Chicago. She was the Chief Legal Counsel for several criminal justice agencies in the State of Illinois. She also served as an Assistant Attorney General and as a staff member to former Illinois Governor, James R. Thompson. She is a 1983 graduate of DePaul University, College of Law in Chicago.

A Native of Wyoming, Genee joined our team in 2008 via Denver, Colorado where she was the Executive Administrative Assistant to the Vice President of a multi-million dollar, international organization. In 1999 Genee joined the Student Educational Opportunity team, as Tutor Coordinator Genee worked with first generation students. Also Genee is a UW alumnus with a BA in Theater.

Gloria Baker has been with the Office of General Counsel since September 1995. She has primary responsibility for assisting the Vice President of Governmental, Community & Legal Affairs.
