2018 Graduate Assistants loved what they learned at Orientation!

Here is some of their feedback:

“Everything from the Wyoming/Laramie culture lecture to the panel with faculty and with GAs was very useful. I enjoyed getting to know my new home and to realize both faculty and colleagues are very interested in my success.”

“Yes, this orientation helped me find my footing in a new world/culture. I feel better equipped and informed about the challenges I may/will face in my graduate studies as an international student and how to overcome them.”

“Walking through the downtown was most useful and impressive for me, because I got much information about this place and it helped me get used to the different life here.”

“The panel discussion with the professors & current TAs, and the cultural differences to expect in the class. The provided info about the American students, the culture here, about the state, about Laramie and tips about how to deal with home sickness, sadness, stress are something that will come handy during my journey (PhD journey) here at UW.”
