Description and Story Telling: Would you like to increase your vocabulary, practice appropriate times frames (tenses), use more transitions words (connectors) and become overall more fluent?  Make it a daily habit to describe an object, a person, a process and/or to tell something that happened to you or you are planning to do to somebody who wants to listen. Hint: Your cellphone’s recording device ALWAYS wants to listen! No excuses - this practice also helps you reach the Advanced level of English proficiency.

Memorize and practice new vocabulary in a phrase (not as single words). Watch this interesting video to get to know about the benefits of learning vocabulary this way. (It also helps with grammar!)

Use a dictionary that marks English word stress. Most online dictionaries have a sound feature to listen and IMITATE the correct pronunciation and intonation (for ex.

When reading, make it a habit to look up unknown words to learn their pronunciation/ intonation right away. Repeat the words out loud!
