Department Holds Annual Spring Picnic and Awards Ceremony

The Department held its annual Spring Pot Luck Picnic on Friday, May 2nd. The turnout was splendid, with many students, faculty and staff attending, and there was copious food and drink for all. Special thanks to the staff, undergraduate senior Levi Gose, and the Geology Club for hosting the event.

Shana Wolff was named the best 2014 graduating undergraduate, Jesse Hahm the outstanding 2014 masters student, and En-Jui Lee the outstanding 2014 doctorate student. The students voted Professor Art Snoke as the Geology Club 2014 outstanding faculty and Dr. Kelli Trujillo (Museum curator) outstanding staff member for 2014. On a more humorous level, graduate student Sean Scott (PhD) and Associate Professor Mike Cheadle respectively received awards for the best graduate student and faculty mustache. Start growing them for next year!
