Summer Field Credit and Enrollment
Participants in the Summer Field Course earn six semester hours of credit from the
University of Wyoming. Upon payment of tuition and fees, students will be enrolled
in Geology 4717. Course credit will be from the University of Wyoming.
The course is normally limited to 30 students. Tuition is assessed for all students
at the "Wyoming resident" rate--a real bargain for non-resident students.
Non UW applicants will be accepted on the basis of academic excellence and potential
for professional development as indicated by their application and letters. Applicants
are encouraged to include contacts for recommendations and a paragraph detailing particular
qualifications and interests. Early applications are encouraged due to limitations
on the number of students to be accepted. Applications are normally processed within
three weeks. Applicants notified of acceptance must submit a non refundable pre-payment
of $100 to hold a spot in the class. Course enrollment will be limited to approximately
30 students in order to maintain a favorable student-to-faculty ratio (approximately
7:1). Please note Summer Camp is Full for 2019.
