About Us...

Sigma Lambda Gamma is the largest, historically Latina-based national sorority with a multicultural membership in chapters and alumnae associations throughout the United States. The Lambda Gamma Chapter at the University of Wyoming is home to more than 12 different ethnicities alone, including Caucasian, Mexican-American, Native American, Pilipino, and German. We believe that your culture is your key to success.

Membership into Sigma Lambda Gamma is open to a select few women of exceptional morals and ethics who have demonstrated a commitment to first and foremost academic excellence. We strive not only as a sorority but individuals to fulfill our five national principles in our everyday lives. Sigma Lambda Gamma is fully committed to helping and making sure that our sisters gain access to academic programs and successfully completing not only their undergraduate degree but also graduate studies.

 The Lambda Gamma chapter at the University of Wyoming is one of 107 chapters across the country and has tremendous networking and social opportunities to our sisters. Sigma Lambda Gamma is full of diverse women, not only culturally, but also academically with majors ranging from business to chemistry and everything in between, and all of our sisters actively participate in various other academic and social organizations on campus.

Our sisterhood is one of the most rewarding on this campus and is one of the most unique of all the chapters currently here at the University of Wyoming, we would love to get to know you and have you know us. We welcome outstanding women who want to earn their undergraduate degree and belong to a sisterhood that is more like a family than an organization.

National philanthropies: the TRIO Program and Breast Cancer Awareness

Every year we have an event to raise money for Bras for a Cause.  Bras for the Cause is a volunteer-based organization raising funds to eradicate breast and cervical cancer – especially through early intervention mammograms and cervical screenings. Visit their national website.  Seeing decorated bras is a great way to raise awareness for a cause we are very passionate about.  And we can show our school spirit!
