April 22, 2005 Individuals and chapters were recognized Thursday (April 21) for their leadership, scholarship and service contributions, during the 2004 2005 Greek Achievement Awards ceremony at the University of Wyoming.

The Interfraternity and Panhellenic councils, in partnership with the Dean of Students Office, recognized the students and chapters.

"I am encouraged by the growth and development I've seen from many of our fraternities and sororities this past year," says Matthew R. Caires, assistant dean of students. "As long as these groups continue to focus on the traditional fraternal values of leadership, scholarship, and service, I expect this positive growth to continue."

Greek Man of the Year Jeffrey Callaway, Bellingham, Wash., Sigma Nu.
New Member of the Year, Sorority -- Anna Budziszewski, Ogallala, Neb., Delta Delta Delta.

Chapter awards for excellence were presented to Delta Delta Delta and Sigma Phi Epsilon. The community service awards were presented to Sigma Chi and Chi Omega. The awards for outstanding chapter programming went to Sigma Alpha Epsilon and Pi Beta Phi.
