Michael Sullivan served as governor of the State of Wyoming from 1986-1994 and served as U.S. Ambassador to Ireland from 1998-2001. He was associated with and a partner attorney with Brown, Drew in Casper from 1964-1986 and 1995-1998. He is currently special counsel to Rothgerber, Johnson & Lyons, LLP where he works in the areas of mediation and arbitration, public policy, natural resources and developing international business relationships. Ambassador Sullivan has served as Chairman of the Natrona County Hospital Board, the Wyoming Board of Bar Examiners and the Western Governors' Association. He Co-chaired the Alliance for Acid-Rain Control and chaired the Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission. Additionally, Ambassador Sullivan served on the School Years Action Team, the Indian Gaming Working Group, and the National Governors' Association's Executive Board, directing its Natural Resources Committee. He is the recipient of the Wyoming National Guard's Distinguished Service Medal, the University of Wyoming Outstanding Alumnus Award, the Wyoming Heritage Society's Award of Merit and is a member of the University of Wyoming College of Engineering Hall of Fame.
