Background and Expertise

Wai Yan's research integrates social and environmental data to better understand the impact of human activities and urbanization on the environment, in which she relies on econometrics analysis and geospatial programming. Her primary research fields are natural resource and environmental economics, with special interests in the nexus of natural resource conservation, land use, and public policy evaluation.
