Environmental Policy, Development, & Conservation in India

Course & Travel Dates:
Spring semester | ENR 3300 | 3 credit hours
Summer | 10 day trip to India

Explore India’s conservation & development policies. In this course, students will develop research projects addressing local environmental challenges with the option to travel to India to further explore research topics (summer travel).

Student projects have included the following topics: 

  • Human-elephant conflict
  • Genetically modified crops
  • Human-wolf conflict
  • Invasive weed impacts

Requirements and Fees:

  • Open to all UW students
  • Passport valid for travel to India
  • Financial contribution from each student: TBA + Education Abroad fee & travel insurance cost 
  • Scholarships available
