The Haub School of Environment and Natural Resources makes awards available to University of Wyoming students through a generous private endowment from Chiles P. and Evelyn S. Plummer. The Plummer awards include the Interdisciplinary Excellence, Achievement, and Merit Scholarships. Selection criteria include academic performance, extracurricular merit, and demonstrated financial need. Awards are made once annually.
Please prepare a packet to include the following materials:
2. A 750-word personal statement. In your statement, please identify the award for which you are applying. Please also:
a. describe your special interests and future goals related to environment and natural resources;
b. cite relevant accomplishments, activities, or abilities;
c. explain why you would like to be considered for a Plummer scholarship;
d. and indicate the semester(s) during which you are applying for support (fall 2015, spring 2016).
3. One-page CV or resume
4. Official UW academic transcript or transcript from current academic institution if not yet attending UW
5. One letter of reference and contact information for two additional references
6. If relevant, documentation of financial need, per the Federal Application for Student Aid (FAFSA).

Applications may also be submitted electronically to email@example.com. No late applications or incomplete applications will be accepted. Recipients will be notified by phone call or letter no later than March 31, 2015. Former Plummer Excellence, Achievement, or Merit recipients are ineligible. Funds will be distributed to University of Wyoming student accounts. Students must be enrolled full-time during the semester that funding is received.
