Undergraduate Minor in Environment and Natural Resources (ENR)

The Haub School offers undergraduate minors in environment and natural resources

The environment and natural resources minor requires a minimum of 15 credit hours in the courses listed below. The courses required to complete the ENR minor also fulfill the core requirements in the ENR major. However, the major requires completion of 20+ credit hours of additional ENR coursework.

ENR Core                                                     15 credits
ENR 1200 or 1500 Foundations of environmental science
ENR 2000 Current and historic environmental values
ENR 3000 Introduction to decision-making processes and tools
ENR 4900 Environmental policy and assessment practice
ENR 4970 Internship and applied experience

If you have a particular interest in environmental thinking and ethics, you might consider the minor in environmental values offered by the UW Department of Philosophy. This program explores aesthetics, culture, ethics and policy and links natural and social sciences to the humanities.
