Collaborative Natural Resource Decision Making
2012 Summer Workshop Series
Note: The Summer Workshop Series is not currently being offered. You might be interested in the Collaboration Program in Natural Resources professional development trainings.
Natural resource issues are inherently complex. They often involve a multitude of stakeholders with deeply held values, are data-intensive yet fraught with uncertainty, and are interlaced with quality of life and economic issues. Finding durable solutions can be difficult work.
The Ruckelshaus Institute offers a Summer Workshop Series in collaborative decision making skills for natural resources professionals. The trainings, open to anyone who would like to attend, are designed for natural resource managers and planners, county commissioners, conservation district managers, biologists, environmental policy specialists, foresters, conservationists, environmental consultants, attorneys, engineers, developers, students, and others who work in natural resources management and environmental policy.
The interactive workshops offer training on how to resolve complex issues, reduce conflict, and create value around natural resources challenges.
