We're pleased to announce that, through the CRHRE's efforts, the UW Foundation has received a grant of $16,311 from the Verizon Foundation. The funds will help to support the Wyoming Telehealth Trauma Treatment Center, a project directed by Dr. Matt Gray in the Department of Psychology. The center uses doctoral candidates in the Clinical Psychology program to provide counseling services for victims of domestic violence and sexual abuse in three locations throughout the state via videoconferencing. The Verizon Foundation funds will allow the center to expand the number of clients that can be served by hiring an additional counselor; in addition, the CRHRE is providing the center with a second videoconferencing unit for the counselors to use when working with clients in the remote sites.
