Oral histories of agricultural collectivization in Uzbekistan
Tuesday, March 25, 2014
Business Bldg, room 10
Dr. Kamp's oral history research asked elderly collective farmers in Uzbekistan about their experience of the shift from private, individual farming to socialist, industrialized collectives for raising cotton. Her faculty spotlight talk this spring, part of her current book project, explores the mechanization of farming in Uzbekistan though history and memory.
