Students take a specially designed interdisciplinary seminar on the Scottish Enlightenment:  Ideas and Influences.   The counts for a 3000- or 4000-level honors requirement.  Modeled on the Oxford tutorial method, the class meets for weekly lectures by experts in their fields and small-group tutorials.

Students typically take two or three other classes.  Like UW, Glasgow is a comprehensive university, meaning that it will offer course work in almost any major offered here. The University of Glasgow Catalogue will give you an idea of the richness and the depth of the course offerings.

Special science courses are designed to replicate American science and pre-med curricula.

The University of Glasgow has both breadth and depth in most undergraduate majors. Science, pre-med, and pre-vet Honors students will have access to a sophisticated range of disciplines and courses. Fine and liberal arts majors as well as business will have an exciting variety of course options. All Honors at Glasgow students will have access to level 3 and some level 4 courses not usually available to other study abroad students. Studio art majors will attend the Glasgow School of Art.

There is a Guide for American Honors students which can help you with your selection of course work.
