Zoology/Physiology Majors
Zoology/Physiology majors in the Honors College may complete the Honors Capstone in several ways, including through a lab-based research project, scholarly review article, or a creative/innovative project nature (eg., an interdisciplinary project at the intersection of science and art). Please contact the Honors Capstone Coordinator to discuss opportunities that may support your interests and long-terms goals.
Please note that Zoo/Phys majors in the Honors College can’t submit the written component of the COM3 course, ZOO/PHYS4100, as the Honors Capstone.
Research projects completed in the WY INBRE, Wyoming Scholars and McNair Scholars programs may be also submitted as the Honors Capstone (and all program entities must be notified of this intention).
All Honors students must complete the Student Initiation Form and request that their faculty mentor complete the Faculty Initiation Form. Faculty mentors will also complete an evaluation rubric indicating whether the project was Pass or Unsatisfactory. All forms are online on the UW
Honors Capstone page.
Students complete the oral presentation requirement by giving an individual presentation during Undergraduate Research and Inquiry Across the Disciplines Day or another Honors-approved venue (such as a inter/national conference).
