Each year the Honors Program awards more than $200,000 in scholarships to students who are beginning their undergraduate education or who are entering the University as transfer students.
The award ranges from $1000 to $4000 per year and can be held in addition to other scholarships, provided that the total does not exceed the cost of attendance. The Award will be paid for a maximum of eight semesters if a recipient maintains a 3.25 GPA and remains in good standing in the Honors Program. Scholarship applications will be accepted from January 15th through March 15th, 2015.
Transfer students and advanced Honors students who apply for the Scholar's Award will automatically be considered for other scholarships.
Students receiving Superior Student or Trustees' scholarships are generally not eligible for the Scholar's Stipend, but are welcome as members of the program.
1. Students who wish to be considered for a stipend should provide a completed Honors Program admissions application
2. By applying for admissions, you are now automatically considered for scholarship funds.
Drs. JoAnn and Fred Reckling established the Reckling Family Scholarship Endowment to encourage able and ambitious students, from certain counties in Wyoming and Colorado, to attend the University of Wyoming. Students are not required to be members of the Honors Program to apply for the Reckling Family Scholarship.
