The University of Wyoming Honors Program affords a wide variety of exclusive opportunities to its students. Below are a just few to give you an idea of what the Honors Program can do for you.
Students who have attended university will all tell you the same thing: getting into the classes you want and need is paramount to your success at UW. With over 12,000 students attending UW each year, it is not unlikely that some classes fill up extremely quickly. You may find yourself in a scheduling conflict and – in some cases – having to take your desired class the following semester. Through the Honors Program, each student is given the ability to register for before everyone else! Therefore, you are significantly more likely to enroll in the classes that work for you.
In the continually globalizing world, students are encouraged to explore other cultures through immersion. The incredible experiences that students have on these exchanges can’t be understated. Each year, many of the Honors Program's students take advantage of the exchanges provided by the Honors Program, traveling all over the world – all the while absorbing experiences and knowledge which transcend traditional education.
