HPAIRI Scholarship Program

HPAIRI’s primary objective is to facilitate research partnerships between UW and the American Indian Tribal Nations of the High Plains Region.  One of the most concrete ways that HPAIRI can do this is to provide opportunities for American Indian students to attend UW where they can learn the skills necessary to participate in the research enterprise.  HPAIRI hopes to begin providing scholarships by 2018.

HPAIRI Internship Program

To provide UW students with an opportunity to participate in the work of the Institute, HPAIRI plans to implement an internship program to pair students with UW researchers and reservation-based partners who are working on projects of interest to the students’ academic goals.  The program will run year-round, in the fall and spring semesters and over the summer break.
