Letter of Intent

General Electric Co. signed a letter of intent  with the University of Wyoming in Feruary 2008 to develop an advanced coal gasification research and technology center to be located in Wyoming. Attending a news conference in the Wyoming Capitol to announce the agreement were, from left, UW President Tom Buchanan, Senate President John Schiffer, House Speaker Roy Cohee, and Monte Atwell, head of GE's technical team on the project.
