Internal Resources:

The Office of Diversity and Employment Practices - The Office of Diversity and Employment Practices' mission is to foster diversity and fairness within the university community.

Employee ADA Accommodations - The University of Wyoming will not discriminate against qualified individuals with disabilities in employment practices and activities, including, but not limited to application procedures, hiring, tenure, promotion, advancement, termination, training, compensation and benefits.  

Online workplace training including Diversity training.  The HR training team supports the mission of the University of Wyoming by designing and providing high quality, state of the art opportunities for staff learning and professional development.

Diversity questions for hiring committees.  The University of Wyoming values job applicants and employees with diverse background and is interested in those who have experience working with diverse populations or initiatives.  This sample list of interview questions is good for any hiring manager, supervisor or committee that wants to include diversity in their assessment of job candidates.  

Safe Zone TrainingSafe Zone is a training program on campus that provides an open and safe discussion of the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and queer communities. This training allows for introspection and thought on various aspects of the LGBTQIA community via a discussion about tolerance and acceptance. Safe Zone aims to educate individuals on issues related to the LGBTQIA community and through this, trains participants to become LGBTQIA Allies. Safe Zone at the University of Wyoming offers a variety of training sessions that cover topics from inequalities in the everyday lives of LGBTQIA individuals to healthcare issues specific to members of the LGBTQIA communities.

Military Cultural Competence Training - This free, online training is a good introduction to military culture for any supervisor, manager or staff member wanting to know more.  This course discusses the demographic characteristics of service members, explains the military rank structure and organization, distinguishes the primary mission and core values of each branch of service and summarizes general and deployment related military terma along with the differences and similarities between active and Reserve components.
