Changes in Your Position

All changes must be done by your department. If you have questions or need assistance with anything to do with your position please reach out to your supervisor.

Supervisors/Managers

When a position's duties have changed significantly since the last audit, the departments DHR can submit a transaction through the Request a Position Change within HCM, a Position Description form must be attached to the audit request as well. An employee may request an audit of their position to their supervisor. If the supervisor rejects the request, the individual may contact HR for assistance. More information can be found on the Classification Compensation website relating to the Audit Process.

Change Salary: The basic steps needed to make permanent salary changes for employees within your area of supervision. Salary is an individual’s base pay (not any type of additional or supplemental pay). The primary reasons for you to use the manage salary feature is to initiate a salary increase for a non-benefited employee.

Employee TerminationCompleting a termination by ending an assignment for an employee within your line of supervision.

Individual CompensationThe basic steps needed to make compensation changes for employees within your area of supervision. Compensation is supplemental or additional pay beyond base salary. 

Common types of compensation awards are mobile communication devices, temporary increases, and supplemental pay.

Updating Working HoursChanging working hours for employees within your line of supervision. Updating working hours adjusts the employee's FTE (Full Time Equivalency).

Decentralized Human Resources Representatives (DHRs)

Assignment Change: The steps to completing various assignment changes on employees within your Area of Responsibility. In WyoCloud many key transactions are classified as assignment changes, including changing working hours, and adding assignments (i.e.: adding on call or overtime assignment). Recording Flexible Work AgreementsThis guide will cover recording benefited employees currently working flexible work locations and/or schedules. Prior an employee’s assignment being updated, employees must first establish a flexible working agreement with their supervisor. These agreements must follow the Flexible Work Agreement Policy.

Request a New PositionThe steps to submit a request for new position number. This request can be due to the creation of a new position or the need for a terminal leave position number.

Request a Position ChangeThe steps to submit a request to edit of a current position number. Common reasons to need an edit of position are: Title Changes, Department Changes, Position Audits.
