University of Wyoming - College of Business Faculty Positions in Finance

The Economics and Finance Department in the College of Business at the University of Wyoming is interviewing candidates for two full time, tenure-track Assistant Professor positions in Finance. (Position# 1408 and position#2550) At a minimum, applicants should have completed their doctoral degree in Finance or a related discipline, or expect to complete it by August 2016. We also prefer applicants with demonstrated teaching effectiveness and ability to develop quality research in Finance.

The Department has an internationally ranked PhD program in economics that includes a field specialization in Financial Economics, and has three Master's programs, in Finance, Economics, and Financial Economics, and the UW College of Business has both an MBA and executive MBA program. A strong commitment to both research and teaching is expected. The candidate will be expected to be involved in the supervision of graduate students in addition to teaching assignments in the undergraduate and graduate Finance programs. All fields will be considered, but research interest and abilities to teach in the areas of existing strength in the department are desired. Specific areas of interest include Investments, Banking and Finance, International Finance, Corporate Finance, Energy Markets and Derivatives markets. A regular teaching load is two courses per semester.
