The Economics and Finance Department in the College of Business at the University of Wyoming (http://business.uwyo.edu/ECONFIN) is interviewing candidates for a full time faculty position in Energy Finance. The position is tenure track Professor, Associate Professor, or Assistant Professor. The Economics and Finance Department has a PhD program in economics that includes a field specialization in Financial Economics, and has three Master's programs, in Finance, Economics, and Financial Economics. The College of Business has an MBA program and an Energy MBA program.
Applicants should have research in Finance including published papers. A strong commitment to both academic research and teaching related to finance is required. The person hired must develop research in energy finance. These might include topics such as real options, project evaluation, asset valuation, aspects of corporate finance specific to energy firms or other areas of energy finance. Teaching requirements are two courses per semester including an energy finance MBA class each semester. The potential to develop external research grants would be helpful.
