The Fay W. Whitney School of Nursing is seeking an innovative individual to join our tenure track faculty. Qualified applicants will have a doctoral degree in nursing or a related field. If the doctorate is in a related field, the applicant must have a master's degree in nursing. The applicant must be eligible for unencumbered RN licensure in Wyoming. The applicant must also have evidence of teaching experience and a scholarship trajectory. Preference will be given to applicants with experience teaching courses in education and/or leadership.
This position will involve research, teaching, and academic service. Ideally, the successful applicant will demonstrate a background in nursing research focused on rural health and health care consistent with Wyoming INBRE (www.wyominginbre.org) priority areas, such as diabetes and/or obesity. This faculty member will advise MS students and provide service to the school, college, university, state, and profession.
The Fay W. Whitney School of Nursing is CCNE accredited and offers both undergraduate and graduate programs, including a master's nurse educator program and a DNP program. All programs are focused on nursing roles critical to Wyoming and the region. The graduates of the MS program serve in much needed nursing education roles in community colleges and hospital settings.
