The Department of Plant Sciences at the University of Wyoming invites applications for a 9-month, tenure-track, assistant professor position. The position will be based at the James C. Hageman Sustainable Agriculture Research and Extension Center in Lingle, WY. Responsibilities will include 55% research, 30% extension, 10% teaching, and 5% university service. The successful applicant will develop an externally funded program in small grains production and/or plant breeding, provide extension service, and teach classes in the same subject area. Research publications in peer-reviewed journals, effective extension, teaching by distance methods, and direction of graduate student research will be expected. Applicants must have an earned PhD in a relevant discipline at the time of hire. Post-doctoral experience is desirable.
